Appointments:

We see patients according to appointment time, not arrival time. Occasionally an emergency situation may arise that could require delaying or rescheduling your appointment. We shall call you as early as possible and will use the telephone number you provided us when you made your appointment. If you find it necessary to change your appointment, we would appreciate as much notice as possible. Surgery cancellations MUST be made 48 hours in advance or a charge to your account may result.

X-rays:

Many times the doctor who referred you to our office in Abilene, will send your x-ray to us. Most often, these are acceptable and no further x-rays are necessary. Old x-rays are generally of little use and will be repeated and charged. Sometimes the x-rays do not show the areas involved adequately. This will require x-rays being remade in our office. X-rays sent to us will be returned to the referring doctor by mail when your treatment is completed.

Surgical Fee and Payment:

Our office policy is that payment is due at time of service for all treatments. In most cases, dental insurance does not cover the full cost of surgical care. We do accept insurance as partial payment, but only after a predetermination has been sent in to your insurance company and we have received their reply back in printed form. Most dental insurance companies require us to do this in order for you to be eligible for any benefits. However, please remember YOU are fully responsible for all fees charged by this office regardless of your insurance coverage. Your insurance contract is between you and the insurance company and we will help you get the maximum benefit for which you are eligible. We do not file on secondary insurances.

New Patients:

New patients are accepted by either referral from local dentists or physicians or without referral. Referrals of more complicated cases to teaching facilities in the DFW metroplex and Scott & White are also occasionally done through our practice.
